DIVE is located within the Darlington House which hosted such amazing rock icons as Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, the Slikee Boys and the Ramones when it was the Childe Harold. This was the first place the Ramones played in Washington DC in 1976 and Bruce’s 3 night gig in 1973 for $750 represents just one of the many artists that either began their career or had an early start at this address. Bruce’s performances are documented in the contracts that are proudly displayed on our wall.
DIVE represents almost 50 years of rock history in our collection of electric guitars and rock photography acquired from The Govinda Gallery. Our aim to be a place for aspiring and established musicians to play in front of appreciative audiences as well as an environment that is as casual as your own home. Open microphone night are every Friday with slot sign ups beginning at 6:00 pm. Thursday and Saturday evenings we feature vinyl rock music.
